Enabling Consent Mode in GTM Assistant:

We're thrilled to introduce a groundbreaking feature within the GTM Assistant app - "Consent Mode". This cutting-edge addition prioritizes user privacy and security, providing them with a heightened level of control over their data.

To access this feature, head to the GTM Assistant app via your Shopify dashboard. In the settings menu, locate the "Consent Mode" section. Enable it to unleash its power in enhancing user data control.

Once Consent Mode is activated from the app panel, you'll notice the option on the frontend for users to grant or deny permission. When a user accepts Consent Mode, event tags will trigger accordingly. This ensures that your tags fire within GTM, effectively tracking your Shopify store.

"If a user chooses to deny permissions for Consent Mode, the associated tags will not be activated within GTM. This means that certain tracking functionalities will not be executed, respecting the user's preference for data privacy."

Disabling Consent Mode in GTM Assistant:

We understand that preferences may change, and you might want to disable the Consent Mode feature in the GTM Assistant app. Here's how you can do it:

• 1. Go to your Shopify dashboard and access the GTM Assistant app.
• 2. In the settings menu, locate the "Consent Mode" section.
• 3. Simply toggle off the Consent Mode feature.
