Installing the GTM Assistant App on Shopify

Installing the GTM Assistant app on your Shopify store is the first step to unlocking powerful tracking capabilities. This process is straightforward and designed to get you up and running quickly. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you install GTM Assistant on your Shopify store:

Step 1: Go to the Shopify App Store​

  1. Open your Shopify admin panel and navigate to the Shopify App Store.
  2. In the search bar, type "GTM Assistant by Webgarh" to locate the app.

Pro Tip: You can also access GTM Assistant directly by visiting the app’s page in the Shopify App Store.

Step 2: Click “Add App”​

  1. Once you’ve found GTM Assistant in the search results, click on "Add App" to proceed.
  2. This will take you to an installation confirmation page.
  3. Review the permissions required by GTM Assistant to ensure you're comfortable with the access needed for tracking purposes.

Step 3: Install the App​

  1. Click "Install App" to authorize GTM Assistant to be added to your store.
  2. Shopify will complete the installation process and redirect you to the GTM Assistant dashboard within your Shopify admin.

Step 4: Configure Initial Settings​

Once the app is installed, you’ll be prompted to configure the initial settings:

Connect Your Google Tag Manager (GTM) Account​

  • GTM Assistant works with Google Tag Manager to deploy tracking tags, so you’ll need a GTM account.
  • Log in to your Google account and allow GTM Assistant to connect to your GTM container.
